Ernest Hemingway

Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) was an American novelist, short-story writer, and journalist awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954. His succinct and understated style had a strong influence on 20th century fiction. His most famous works include The Sun Also Rises, A Call to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and The Old Man and the Sea. His short stories “Hills Like White Elephants” and “A Canary for One” form the basis for two sections of Krymov Lab NYC’s Three Love Stories Near the Railroad.
